Project progress:

We have just completed a wonderful project called “Forum Theater – Act for positive change” in Bulgaria! The project took place in Dobrinishte, where we worked together with partners from Greece, Belgium, Bulgaria, and Slovenia on important social issues through Forum Theater.

We participated in many unconventional activities, during which we creatively developed our skills of active participation, self-expression, asserting our rights, and transforming conflict situations into positive solutions. We acted out various theatrical scenes, conducted workshops on interpretation and description, and also built stories and prepared for scenes in forum theater.

There were also group activities during which we exchanged our experiences and learned about different perspectives. We spent most of our time in nature, hiking in the mountains, sharing inspiring stories around the campfire, exploring the Bulgarian mountain ranges, and watching the beautiful stars on our way back after sunset.

Each country prepared its own cultural evening, thanks to which we could learn about traditions and try local specialties. In the evenings, we had fun at the carnival, during which we presented characters we identify with, and we also spent our free time in long conversations on all kinds of topics.

We spent the last day in beautiful Sofia, reflecting on the entire trip. We visited the most important places in the Bulgarian capital, admiring its historical and cultural wealth. It was with great sadness that we said goodbye to the other participants, who had become more than just project companions to us—they had become our friends and our inspiration.
