Project Overview:

From February 10–18, 2026, we participated in the youth exchange “Empowerment through Creative Arts and Participation for European Teens” in Austria.

The project focused on self-expression through art, dance, and theater as ways to combat discrimination, intolerance, and violence.

Through World Café workshops, theater performances, and many other activities, we learned to work in a group without excluding others, to listen attentively, and to understand how art can influence discrimination. To explore the workshop theme, we visited the Jewish Museum. There were also many opportunities to learn about new cultures during cultural evenings, where each country prepared a traditional dinner for the other participants. We also toured Vienna’s architecture, and at the end, we took part in a carnival waltz dance with a Viennese dance school.

Participants from Poland, Lithuania, Austria, Portugal, and Cyprus took part in the project.
