Program: Erasmus+, KA3
Project leader: Reflections on Europe
Place of action: Starachowice, Kielce
Timeframe of the project: September 2018 – September 2019
Between September 2018 and September 2019, Reflections of Europe carried out the Reflections on Europe for Youth project, which was funded by the European Commission’s Erasmus+ program.
The project’s objective was to involve young people in the debate on the future of the European Union. The main activities were concentrated in Kielce and Starachowice, where young people met on a series of debates, discussion meetings and workshops with leaders who have an impact on youth policy in Poland and Europe.
The main themes of the Youth European activities project were the problems and challenges facing the EU (with particular emphasis on youth issues) and the opportunities and created by European integration. We have explained in an accessible and understandable way what are the European treaties, the principles of the EU, the institutions and the regulations impacting youth. We have also discussed the current situation of the EU and the EU’s policies and plans toward young people. The discussions were also an excellent opportunity to encourage young people to participate in the European Parliament elections.
The main effect of the project is the Manifesto of Young People to the European Union, which was also released in film version.
